Today Tanner went in for a weight check and he weighed in at 9 pounds and 1 ounce. I can not believe how fast he is growing. I can tell he is definitely getting longer. His legs are still skinny as rails.... I wonder where he gets that.

I had to include this picture of Jay and Tanner. Jay was playing with him and next thing he knew Tanner was sucking his nose. I forgot to tell Jay it was close to super time.

I love taking pictures of Tanner during bath time. I think he looks so cute in the hooded towel. He is really starting to enjoy bath time. He still goes to the bathroom a lot when he gets cold. Today, tee tee was going out of his bath tub and into the sink next to us. All I could do was laugh because he had no idea what was going on. I, on the other hand, was looking for cover.

4 WEEKS OLD

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Tanner spent much of his time with family and friends. I have included a few pictures from Thanksgiving day. As you can see, Jay, Tanner and I had to lay down after to much Turkey.
Last night Tanner spent his first night in his crib. We are now trying to get him to take naps in it. It is not going over so well. I hope that he will grow to like it more. I guess you can only take one step at a time.

3 WEEKS OLD

I can not believe that Tanner is already 3 weeks old. He is really starting to wake up. As you can see he is learning to enjoy bath time. He still gets a little fussy when he is naked. He also enjoys playing in the Baby Einstein gym. He loves the lights and music that it plays. We are working on tummy time right now. He occasionally picks his head up to look around. What a big boy!

Hanging out at home

Tanner loves to spend time with Lexi. As you can see, Lexi is very protective over him. She does not leave his side and does not like it when he gets upset. It is to bad she can not babysit. :)

I had to include the picture of him sitting in his boppy. He fits so perfectly in the center. I feel like he is growing so fast. He really gets bigger everyday.

Spending time with family

Mimi, Tanner's great grandmother, came to see him on Saturday. She was so excited to meet him. He also got to spend time with Aunt Debbie, Uncle Eddie, Blair and Alex. We would like to wish Blair a happy birthday!

Lyles also drove up to spend some time with Tanner. Tanner looks forward to meeting Brandon in a few weeks. They gave him the cutest polka dot blanket and duck stuffed animal.

We had to go to the doctor today because Tanner has an eye infection. The doctor gave us some eye drops and said he should be better in a day or two. The good news is....he has gained more weight. He weighed in at 8 pounds 1 ounce, with clothes on. Go Tanner!!!!!!

WE ARE BACK IN BLOG WORLD

Sorry it has taken me so long to update Tanner's blog. Our home computer crashed and we just got it fixed. I have so many pictures to share from the past 2 weeks. I can not believe that 2 weeks have already gone by. We are doing good. We had our 2 week check up this past Tuesday and Tanner has already gained 6 ounces. He weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces. The doctor said he would gain about an ounce a day. He is sleeping pretty good. At first there were some nights where he was up for hours but the past 3 nights have been really good. I really hope that it continues.

The picture of Tanner and I was taken right after he was born. It had been a long night. Everything started at 11:58 on Thursday night and he was born at 9:11 on Friday morning.

The picture above that was the outfit he came home in. It absolutely swallowed him. I double checked the tag to make sure it was for newborns. I guess he was just small.

Of course we had to include a picture of our first bath. He sure does not like to be naked. Daddy was there to assist with getting him dressed after the bath. It was a learning experience for all 3 of us. He soaked the kitchen in pee. We now make sure to always cover that area up when he is naked.

Tanner and Daddy enjoyed spending there Saturday watching football. Unfortunately, Carolina did not win. What a shock. Clemson's season has definitely improved. We wore our gameday hat that Aunt Ashley and Uncle Greg gave us. Unfortunately, it did not bring any extra luck.

Since Tanner was home for Halloween we had to dress him up. Once again, the outfit was to big but he sure made a cute pumpkin. We took him over to our neighbors house for his first trick or treat. He loved it.
