3 months old

Boy does time go by fast. Tanner is 3 months old today. We are have so much fun playing and smiling. He is really interacting with others around him. When you talk to him he responds in his own language. He has also started blowing little bubbles with his mouth. We are still working on finding the thumb......he is not officially a thumb sucker yet.

We have enjoyed spending time with our cousin Jackson lately. We are learning a lot from him and can not wait to get down and play with him.

We are getting things ready for Tanner to go to school. His first day will be February 1. As you can imagine, the tears are already falling.

Bumbo time

I can not believe Tanner is going to be 12 weeks old on Friday. As you can see, he really has good head control and is enjoying sitting in his bumbo. Every time I put him in it he smiles....he thinks he is such a big boy.

The past 2 nights he has slept 7 continuous hours....without food. What a big boy!! He goes to bed around 7 PM and I wake him up for 1 more feeding before I go to bed. Then, he has been waking around 4:30 AM for something to eat. I am OK with that right now. I can not wait until he sleep until 6:30 AM. That is what time he will have to get up for school. He is only 2 hours away. YEAH!!!

It's A Girl

Congratulations to Elisa and Glen! Yesterday they found out they are having a baby girl. Tanner looks forward to having a cute girlfriend to play with. I have already asked Elisa if I can come over and play dress up with her. They have decided to name her Emma Campbell....what a precious name.

I have attached a picture of Tanner from this morning. He is still continuing to grow so much. I think we will be moving into 3-6 month clothes soon. I also have caught him sucking his thumb a few times. I am trying not to encourage that but sometimes you have no control. I was a thumb sucker, so what can I say.

Lexi

As most of you know, Lexi has been very sick with cancer. She has lived longer than expected but things have been getting worse. We took her to the vet yesterday and there is nothing more they could do. She was having a hard time getting around and Jay was having to carry her up and down the steps. Unfortunately, we had to put her to sleep. We know now that she is out of pain and in a better place. It has been very hard on both Jay and I. She was such a wonderful dog and huge part of our family. We will miss her dearly. I have included some picture of her from yesterday.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We have a lot to look forward to in 2008.

Tanner had his 2 month check up last week. He weighed 10 pounds and 11 ounces and measured about 24 inches long. He is growing and changing everyday.

Christmas update

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Tanner. We went up to Greenville on Saturday and spent time with Jay's family. On Saturday night Van and Emma Jo came over to eat with us. As you can see, Tanner and Van were instant friends. On Sunday evening we exchanged gifts with Jay's family. Tanner got some great gifts from everyone. He is very fond of Baby Tad, a gift from Andy and Karen. He also received a John Deere riding toy from Gram. It will be a while before he can use it but I know he looks forward to it. We returned home on Christmas Eve and were anxiously waiting for Santa. We went over to my parents house for some holiday fun. Santa came to see Tanner on Tuesday morning. He was speechless about all of his gifts....as you can imagine. We then spent the day over at my parents house with my family. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday and we look forward to the future. Thanks to everyone for the gifts.
